Early morning view of Y Garn from by Llyn Ogwen

Climbing up the north face of Tryfan there is a wider view of the Ogwen Valley, with Y Garn and Foel Goch on the skyline

An indication of the steepness of the climb as the A5 recedes in the valley bottom

The cannon, the most famous landmark on the north face

Beryl looking relieved on a relatively flat bit

Me between Adam and Eve (looking almost human)

Glyder Fach and Glyder Fawr

Y Garn, Llyn Bochlwyd in the foreground, Llyn Idwal behind, Elidar Fawr on the skyline (right)

I really admire those wistful photos of walkers silhouetted against the skyline. I saw my chance at the top of Tryfan..........but they moved as I was taking it

Even the descent was tricky

Llyn Bochlwyd

Pen yr Ole Wen, the way into the Carneddau

Stream near Idwal Cottage

A last look back at Tryfan, the north face ridge is to the left of the summit
