Strangely unacquainted with the Welsh hills; he usually pleads a prior engagement if we plan to go there. This is despite the fact that, when he walked the highest hills in all four countries on Britain within a fortnight, the only decent weather was on Snowdon.

He is the Mr Bland of the group; devoid of distinguishing features that can be ridiculed by exaggeration. He takes this to strange lengths. He even buys the same gear as JD as a form of camouflage. Their new nicknames are Howard and Hilda (remember "Ever Decreasing Circles" on the box?)
