Our final days were spent at the Fantasyland Hotel in the West Edmonton Mall. This advertises itself as the world's largest shopping mall. This was Amy's treat; she is planning a career in shopping. However this is a walking site so I'm not going to describe it (other than the dolphins are very good). Be content with some logos and a hyperlink is you are really interested. However it was very strange being indoors for so long. Tuesday morning and the start of the journey home. I whiled away a lot of time in the bookshop, one of the delights of the Mall with Starbucks' coffee shop in the corner. Poor sad soul that I am, I went and invested in their Internet machines to check how my Fantasy Football team (Real Lypathetic) was doing in our league at work; the season had started whilst I was away. I also sent some e-mails to wind up people at work. The plane to Toronto was late off and we didn't have much time for changing terminals at the other end. Still not much of a wait there and we'd been up-graded to business class for the overnight flight to Manchester so we'd far more space. Not that I slept much but I did manage to drive home before crashing out. |
